The Parish Council for St Augustine’s was formed in 1988 while that for St Joseph’s was formed soon after. In Autumn 2007, the two parish councils were wound up, and a new Council was constituted for the combined parishes.

The objectives of the Parish Council are:

1. To facilitate and improve communications within the Parish

2. To coordinate and improve activities of the Parish and the groups within the Parish

3. To encourage and develop new initiatives to enhance the pastoral, spiritual and financial activities of the Parish.

Members are elected from those groups to be represented on the Parish Council. Some members will represent more than one group.
